The Grade 11 English program is designed to develop higher-level academic English proficiency, targeting CEFR levels B2+ to C1. The course follows a self-directed learning model, employing key methods such as in-depth video lectures for each skill, practice with analytical and argumentative task types typical of the AS exam, and the development of academic writing and speaking skills supported by AI tools that provide feedback based on assessment rubrics.
The curriculum focuses on building critical reading skills, producing academic essays, comprehending extended lectures, and presenting ideas logically and fluently. Students are guided to think analytically, use precise language, maintain a formal register, and apply academic structures—ensuring they meet the high demands of the AS examination as well as international university environments.
