The Grade 3 English program marks the transition from understanding basic language to communicating more fluently in complete sentences, both in speaking and writing. Students read and listen to a wider variety of texts, including simple stories and informational passages. Speaking activities require them to express personal opinions and describe familiar topics, while writing focuses on structuring sentences with correct grammar and punctuation. They also learn to generate ideas and organize content into short paragraphs.
By the end of the course, students can express themselves clearly in complete sentences, understand the main ideas in a passage, and write guided descriptions or short stories.
