Course Description

Grade 10 Science is the final year of the Cambridge IGCSE stage, where students continue to explore in greater depth the three disciplines of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, while receiving comprehensive preparation for the IGCSE international examination—a solid foundation for progression to AS & A Level or other advanced international academic programs.

The program is based on the Cambridge IGCSE Combined Science syllabus (0653) and adapted for online learning to help students:

Consolidate and extend core scientific knowledge
Develop systematic thinking and the ability to evaluate scientific evidence
Apply knowledge to solving real-world issues such as environmental, technological, and health-related challenges

Through a digital learning system, virtual experiments, IGCSE exam practice, and research projects, students are fully equipped to study science effectively without the need to be physically present in a laboratory.

2. Chemistry

Redox reactions, electrolysis, and applications
Chemical analysis: identifying ions, gases, and pH
Chemical equilibrium and factors affecting reaction rates
Organic chemistry: hydrocarbons, alcohols, and carboxylic acids
Environmental and green chemistry: pollution effects and control

3. Physics

Liquid pressure, buoyancy, and surface tension
Wave phenomena: interference, mechanical and electromagnetic wave transmission
Alternating current and current flow in mixed circuits
Thermodynamics: heat transfer and the ideal gas law
Nuclear energy, radiation, and applications in medicine and power generation

🔹 Learning Methodology

In Grade 10, students are required to both study more advanced academic content and practice IGCSE exam skills through the following online learning formats:

Students practice official Cambridge IGCSE exam task types with answer keys, error analysis guidance, and exam tips.

Real-world scenarios integrate multiple disciplines, such as investigating water pollution, applying DNA analysis in criminal investigations, or measuring radiation levels in hospitals.
