🔹 Learning Methodology
The Grade 5 English program—serving as a pivotal transition year to lower secondary under the Cambridge Primary framework—applies integrated teaching methods with a strong focus on developing academic thinking and the ability to use English in cross-curricular contexts. Lessons are structured in a clear cycle of instruction – guided practice – independent application, combined with a variety of learning activities such as group discussions, text analysis, writing projects, oral presentations, and drama performances.
Throughout the course, students are expected to cultivate essential skills such as critical thinking, coherent idea organization, and effective communication through teacher-led sessions and community discussion topics. They are also encouraged to take initiative when approaching complex texts, plan their written work carefully, and develop the ability to express ideas accurately with supporting evidence.
These skills not only enable students to complete primary school with excellence but also provide a solid foundation for confident learning and academic communication in English within an international environment at the lower secondary level.
