Course Description
The Grade 5 English program consolidates and expands students’ language abilities, preparing them for the transition to lower secondary education and for international exams such as the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint. Students begin reading, analyzing, and evaluating information from longer and more complex academic texts, including short articles, stories, instructions, and a variety of other formats.
They are guided to deliver presentations fluently, with well-structured and cohesive arguments. Writing skills are further developed through various text types, ensuring a complete three-part structure (introduction, body, conclusion).
By the end of the course, students are fully equipped with the language proficiency and academic thinking skills needed to succeed in the Cambridge Lower Secondary English as a Second Language program and other international curricula.
