1. General Introduction & Learning Outcomes
Grade 6 commonly explores World History/Geography – Ancient Civilizations. Students learn to “read” a civilization as a system: geography → economy → society → government → culture, and they begin purposeful source analysis.
By the end of Grade 6, students can:

Explain how geography (rivers, climate, landforms) influences settlement and development.
-
Compare two civilizations using clear criteria (government/economy/culture).
-
Read basic primary/secondary sources and cite evidence.
2. Knowledge Overview
-
Ancient civilizations (scope may include Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, Rome, India, China, etc.).

3. Learning & Teaching Methods
