This Privacy Policy applies to the Dakanvics applications and related services, including the Dakanvics Student App, the Dakanvics Parent App, the Dakanvics/Moodle learning system, and related features such as push notifications and the optional AI Study Assistant feature.

By using Dakanvics applications or services, users agree to the collection, use, processing, and protection of data as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the following terms have the meanings set out below:

Application means the Dakanvics Student App, Dakanvics Parent App, or any related mobile application provided by Dakanvics.

Dakanvics, we, us, or our refers to the provider and operator of the Application and related services.

User, you, or your refers to any student, parent, guardian, teacher, or authorized person who accesses or uses the Application.

Student refers to the learner whose learning information may be processed or displayed through the Application.

Parent or Guardian refers to an authorized person who uses the Dakanvics Parent App to monitor a student’s learning information.

Personal Data means any information that can identify or relate to a User or Student, either directly or indirectly, such as name, email address, user identifier, account information, or learning-related data.

Learning Data means information related to a Student’s learning activities, including courses, grades, progress, assignments, schedules, deadlines, activities, and related educational events.

Account Information means information used to identify and authenticate a User, such as username, user ID, email address, or full name when provided by the Moodle/Dakanvics system.

AI Study Assistant means the optional AI-powered learning support feature available in the Dakanvics Student App.

Push Token means a device-specific token generated for the purpose of sending push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging or similar notification services.

Processing means any operation performed on data, including collection, access, storage, synchronization, use, transmission, protection, deletion, or restriction.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

The Dakanvics Student App used by students for learning activities.
The Dakanvics Parent App used by parents or guardians to monitor students’ learning information.
The Dakanvics/Moodle learning management system.
Backend, proxy, synchronization, notification, and support systems operated by Dakanvics.
The optional AI Study Assistant feature in the Student App.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, applications, or services that are not operated or controlled by Dakanvics.

3. Data We Collect and Process

Depending on the Application and features used, we may collect or process the following categories of data.

3.1 Account Information

We may process login and account information, including:

Username.
User identifier.
Email address.
Full name, if provided by the Moodle/Dakanvics system.
Login session status.
Authentication tokens or session tokens.

3.2 Learning Data

We may process learning-related information, including:

Courses and enrolled classes.
Lessons and learning content.
Grades and assessment results.
Learning progress.
Assignments and homework.
Learning activities.
Class schedules.
Deadlines and related events.
Course and activity identifiers.

3.3 Parent App Data

For the Dakanvics Parent App, we may process data necessary to display student learning information to authorized parents or guardians, including:

Student learning progress.
Course participation.
Grades or assessment updates.
Schedules, deadlines, and learning events.
Notifications related to the student’s learning activities.

The Parent App only displays student data to accounts with valid access rights granted by the school, center, or Dakanvics system.

3.4 Support and Feedback Data

We may process data submitted by users for support purposes, including:

Support requests.
Feedback.
Issue reports.
Experience reviews.
Communication content submitted to Dakanvics.

3.5 Device and Notification Data

For push notifications and app operation, we may process:

Firebase Cloud Messaging token or push token.
Device platform.
Application version.
Notification status.
Basic device-related technical information required for app operation.

3.6 Basic Technical Data

We may process basic technical data, including:

System logs.
Access times.
Login session status.
Error logs.
Security logs.
Information necessary to protect, operate, and improve the Application.

3.7 AI Study Assistant Data

When a student actively uses the AI Study Assistant by sending a question, the Student App may send the following data to a third-party AI service to generate a response:

The message or question typed by the student.
The title and text of the lesson or page currently being viewed.
The current course and activity ID.
Up to the last 20 messages in the conversation to maintain context.

This data is sent only when the student actively sends a message within the AI Study Assistant. The Application does not transmit this AI-related data silently in the background.

4. Data We Do Not Collect

The Application does not collect:

Precise location data.
Contacts.
SMS messages.
Personal photos.
Microphone recordings.
Camera data.

For the AI Study Assistant feature, the following data is not intentionally sent to the AI service:

Name.
Email.
Password.
Detailed grades.
Personal profile information.

5. Purposes of Data Use

We use data for the following purposes:

To authenticate users and maintain login sessions.
To provide access to learning content and learning activities.
To display learning information to students.
To display students’ learning information to authorized parents or guardians.
To synchronize data from the Moodle/Dakanvics system.
To send notifications about grades, schedules, deadlines, assignments, or learning activities.
To provide the AI Study Assistant feature when the user chooses to use it.
To maintain conversation context within the AI Study Assistant.
To enforce usage quotas and operate app features.
To receive and process support requests.
To detect errors, troubleshoot issues, and improve service quality.
To protect the security and integrity of the Application and related systems.
To comply with legal, regulatory, or operational obligations.

We do not sell users’ personal data. We do not use users’ personal data for advertising.

6. Push Notifications

The Application uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to send push notifications.

When users enable notifications, the device creates a push token and sends it to the Dakanvics server to support notification delivery.

Push notifications may be used to inform users about:

Grade updates.
Class schedules.
Assignment deadlines.
Learning activities.
System updates.
Important service notifications.

Users may disable notifications in the Application settings or in the notification settings of their device.

Push tokens may be deleted when users disable notifications or log out from the device.

7. AI Study Assistant

The AI Study Assistant is an optional feature in the Dakanvics Student App.

The feature is designed to provide learning support, explanations, hints, and study assistance based on the student’s current lesson context.

7.1 Optional Use and Consent

The AI Study Assistant is optional. Before first use, the Application may display a disclosure screen and require the user to provide consent before continuing.

Users may decline to use the AI Study Assistant and continue using other parts of the Application.

Users may withdraw consent at any time from the AI Study Assistant menu or related settings, where available.

7.2 Third-Party AI Service

Data required for the AI Study Assistant may be sent to OpenAI, L.L.C., located in the United States, for the purpose of generating AI responses.

According to OpenAI’s API terms, data submitted via the API is not used to train OpenAI models by default. OpenAI provides its own privacy policy and data processing terms.

7.3 AI Data Use

AI-related data is used to:

Generate answers, hints, and learning support.
Provide responses relevant to the student’s lesson context.
Maintain context within a conversation.
Enforce usage limits and operate the feature.

AI-related data is not used by Dakanvics for advertising or sale to third parties.

8. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell users’ personal data.

Data may be processed by or transmitted through the following systems when necessary to provide the Application’s functions:

The Moodle/Dakanvics system for authentication and learning data retrieval.
Dakanvics backend and proxy servers for security, caching, synchronization, and service operation.
Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.
Google Play Services, to the extent necessary for Android application operation.
OpenAI, L.L.C., when the user actively uses the AI Study Assistant feature.
Hosting, infrastructure, security, analytics, or technical service providers where necessary to operate and protect the service.

We only share or process data when necessary to:

Provide the service.
Operate app features.
Comply with legal obligations.
Protect the lawful rights and interests of users, schools, centers, Dakanvics, and related systems.
Maintain security and prevent misuse.

9. Data Security

Data is transmitted through secure HTTPS connections where applicable.

Access keys, session tokens, authentication tokens, and sensitive configurations are stored on the server side or through appropriate security mechanisms.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to help prevent:

Unauthorized access.
Data loss.
Data alteration.
Improper disclosure.
Misuse of the Application or related systems.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect data.

10. Data Retention

We retain data only for as long as necessary to:

Provide the service.
Maintain user accounts.
Support learning and parent monitoring features.
Meet operational requirements.
Provide user support.
Protect system security.
Comply with legal obligations.

For AI Study Assistant data:

Local AI conversation data on the device may be retained for up to 7 days.
AI-related data on the school’s Moodle server may be retained according to the school’s policy.
Data processed by OpenAI is subject to OpenAI’s own retention policy.
Local AI data may be deleted when the user logs out or removes the account.

Push tokens may be deleted when users disable notifications or log out from the device.

11. User Rights

Subject to applicable laws and system permissions, users may request to:

Review the account information being processed.
Update or correct inaccurate information.
Delete data where permitted.
Restrict certain data processing activities where supported by the system.
Stop receiving push notifications.
Withdraw consent for optional features such as the AI Study Assistant.
Request information about how their data is used.

To submit a request, users may contact Dakanvics using the contact information provided in Section 16.

Some requests may need to be handled by the school, center, or organization that controls the learning data.

12. Children’s and Students’ Data

The Dakanvics Student App is designed for students of schools, centers, or organizations that use the Dakanvics platform.

The Dakanvics Parent App is designed for parents or guardians to monitor students’ learning information.

Student data is only displayed to accounts with valid access rights granted by the school, center, or Dakanvics system.

Where required by law, students below the applicable age of consent should use the Application, especially optional features such as the AI Study Assistant, with the consent or supervision of a parent, guardian, school, or authorized organization.

The school, center, or organization may act as the controller of student learning data, while Dakanvics may act as a service provider or processor depending on the applicable arrangement.

13. International Data Transfers

Some service providers used by Dakanvics may process data outside the user’s country or region.

For example, AI-related data may be transmitted to OpenAI in the United States when the AI Study Assistant is used.

Where data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure that such transfers are performed for legitimate service purposes and are subject to appropriate data protection measures.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time when there are changes to:

Application features.
Services.
Technical infrastructure.
Legal or regulatory requirements.
Data processing practices.

The updated version will be published on this page and will take effect from the stated update date.

Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

15. Developer Authorization Statement

Dakanvics confirms that the Apple Developer account listed below is authorized to develop, submit, publish, maintain, and manage mobile applications under the Dakanvics name, brand, logo, and related trademarks on the Apple App Store.

Dakanvics grants this account full authorization to use the Dakanvics name, logo, application name, product identity, screenshots, descriptions, and related brand materials solely for the purpose of publishing and managing official Dakanvics applications on Apple platforms.

This authorization includes, but is not limited to:

Submitting Dakanvics applications to App Store Connect.
Publishing Dakanvics applications on the Apple App Store.
Managing app metadata, screenshots, descriptions, and release information.
Uploading app builds, updates, bug fixes, and maintenance releases.
Responding to Apple App Review requests related to Dakanvics applications.
Using the Dakanvics brand assets where necessary to identify the official application.

The applications submitted from this Apple Developer account are official Dakanvics applications and are authorized by Dakanvics.

This authorization remains valid unless revoked in writing by Dakanvics.
